We already passed the middle of 2018. Fall is almost here and soon enough, the yellow leaves will come crashing down onto the cold, wet ground. Raindrops will softly touch the always green grass England has and…our hair will become a mess! Yes. Back to reality, the truth is that as soon as autumn comes, a slight feeling of anxiety and worry takes over my body. Being a curly haired girl, or should I say a wavy-haired girl at the moment, since my hair is not that healthy to be back to curly just yet, the fall season simply gives me a headache because my hair becomes a mess. Frizz, less volume, too much hairspray needed and oh, how much I m craving for that straight hair when I want it.
Fashion month is almost here, and even if I don’t do all 4 fashion weeks ( YET!! WAIT FOR IT), during those 5 days of London Fashion Week, I do want to make sure that my hair looks its best, can be fixed the way I want it to and in case I need to free my bun, it’s not going to look as if I used the kitchen mixer on it. Oh, dear friends, if you’d only knew how much I am craving my naturally curly hair back. I used to just wash it, use some hair foam to fix it and let it naturally dry. But nooooooo, someone had to use the hair straightener 3 times a day for over 3 years and ruin their hair. THAT’S ME in case you didn’t guess!
Soo, what can we do or what can we use to have less stress during this autumn season. Since January, I kept on looking, researching and asking for opinions on my fellow blogger friends, or mates or even neighbors, what do they use to style their hair? A lot of them answered, of course, the hair straightener, heating rollers ( see the Babyliss ones I have, if interested ) or the curler. However, one person, or should I say the product mentioned, caught my attention. Remington D5219 Hairdryer Kit. I remember, the night I heard about it, after the way my friend spoke about it and how easy she styled her hair by using it, I started searching for reviews. Started watching tutorials on what I can do with it. After all, all I needed was a diffuser to try and recreate my curls and a normal head because I want to try and blow dry my hair at home.
I didn’t waste too much time, and got the hairdryer. I was surprised by how lightweight was and the incredibly small amount of noise it makes. The Remington D5219 kit includes a concentrator for a lux blow dry, a diffuser for natural curls and also a root boost attachment which I personally use to straighten my hair as my hair already has enough volume. I’ve been using this for a little bit over a month, fortunately, no matter if I straighten or curl my hair with it, I definitely see a change, my hair is less frizzy and feels so soft as I can set out the temperature I want, which means no more burning. I would say it does make my hair 80% less frizzy and God knows how overly excited that makes me. It has 3 heat levels, a cold air button, and 2 speeds to play around with.
What I didn’t know by now is that if I scan the QR code on the box, I do get to see a couple of ideas on how I can style my hair with it, which I think is a good thing since I always lack inspiration on how I style my hair, hence why you will always see me with it straightened, curly or up in a bun ( boring me, i know).
Also trying my best to mix the fashion, lifestyle and beauty articles as I feel the only thing I wrote about lately are beauty products. Someone stop me as since I started getting more interested in these, I feel like I always find something new and amazing I want to share with you. Which is also why, from today on, I created categories on my blog. You can find them above the slider on the main page. Will be updating all of them very soon!
